Strongest consideration will be give to candidates with experience in bioinformatics anlysis of next-generation sequencing data (RNA / DNA sequencing and single-cell RNAseq).Īs a post-doc, (s)he will work with a high level of independence, present data at departmental seminars and scientific meetings, prepare manuscripts, and apply for grant proposals. Candidates should be highly experienced in standard immunology research techniques and data analysis. This includes experimental planning, data analysis, oral and written presentation of the results to the Faculty Mentor, collaborators or external parties, writing manuscripts for publications and grant proposals for funding from the main funding entities (NIH, NIAID) as well as foundations and private donors. Specifically, the research will focus on characterizing the function of an array of human T cell responses to tuberculosis using primary human cells from blood and bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) samples obtained from cohorts of healthy individuals previously infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis and HIV. The qualified candidate is responsible for performing and supervising research projects in the field of immunity to Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
